The IEEE Task Force on Information Assurance sponsored a workshop on information assurance in cooperation with the ACM SIGSAC on research and experience in information assurance. The workshop goals were the dissemination of research across the spectrum of information assurance and the fostering of a scientific community working in this field. An additional objective was to bring together researchers and practicioners from both governmental, defense, intelligence, and civilian areas and to stimulate discussions on current and future problems as well as solutions. The workshop encompassed a single day in a highly interactive, intimate format and was fairly selective, accepting only 21% of submissions. Proceedings from the workshop are available from IEEE Press in printed form or via the IEEE Digital library in electronic form. Program Committee
